SECONDARY ONE- TERM 3 (2007)

Brochure writing for natural vegetation
Read units 29, 30 and 33 of your text book on different types of vegetation and their activities as a background information for your assignment.
Then choose any one of the natural vegetation described in Unit 30, namely:
· Tropical rainforest
· Temperate deciduous forest
· Temperate coniferous forest
and design a brochure for a country with the selected vegetation.
(S’pore cannot be a choice as this is already given in the book).

Purpose of the brochure
To promote as a form of tourist attraction
· the natural vegetation of the country and
· the possible activities associated with the climate and vegetation of that country

Brochure requirements
The brochure should include the following:
1. the name of the country where it is found-provide a map showing the location
2. Information about
· Climate of the place-
Ø Temperature
Ø Rainfall
Ø General description of the climate.
3. Characteristics of the vegetation
4. Any activities associated with it
5. Pictures or illustration showing the vegetation and the activities
6. Any other relevant information that will attract people to visit it.

Assignment should be -
· handed in on the first week of term 4-collected by geography representative
· done on PROPERLY TYPED format with name and class stated on last page of the brochure
· done on A-4 size paper folded into 3 sections resembling a brochure(coloured paper is allowed)
· As creative and attractive as possible

NB-This assignment is part of CA2.
